ERA-EDTA is a Global Leading Organization for clinicians and scientists in nephrology.
Founded in 1963, it operates as a Clinical Charity, with over 9,000 members worldwide and today it is one of the most important and prestigious European Medical Associations.
With the objective to further growth and development in the next few years, ERA-EDTA is searching for a key role for the R&D Manager. This role has a strategic relevance within the Association and will directly report to our Executive Director, based in Parma (Italy), where the operational Headquarters of the Association is based.
The R&D Manager will:
Ensure the highest relevant quality of scientific knowledge, medical best practices and educational contents provided by the Association.
Represent the Association towards the Scientific Community and the Health-Care Companies – on behalf of the Board and assisting the Board, further developing the current network and the scientific opportunities for cooperation.
Coordinate the research, sponsorship and execution of significant scientific projects, also in relation and coordination with the Working Groups, the various Committees and the Boards of the Association.
Provide the Association with a strong knowledge of the current evolution of the ongoing scientific research in the field of nephrology also with reference to the other medical specialties closely linked to it.
University Degree in medical / scientific field.
Fluent English spoken and written.
Strategic insight applied to the medical / scientific field.
Full mastery of medical issues in general and with reference to research and development.
Attitude to nurture team spirit and strong motivation in being part of a close team.
High relational capacity in the medical / scientific network.
Solid sense of belonging, full compliance with the rules of the Association and strong determination to achieve the planned results/aims/objectives.
Background in medical sector and experience in scientific communities will be appreciated, yet not mandatory as the Association is also willing to provide adequate initial guidance.
