About Milan

Milan is one of the largest cities in Italy, located in the plains of Lombardy, and it is one of the most highly developed urban centres in Europe. The city is known all over the world as one of the most important fashion capitals and as the leading centre of fashion in Italy.
Milan is also one of the major artistic centres of northern Italy; its main landmarks include the Duomo, the second largest church in Italy and world’s third, Teatro alla Scala, one of the most important theatres in the world for operas and Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Last Supper.
The metropolis of Milan is also home to many important business centres, financial institutions and Italy’s stock market.

TRANSPORTATION
MiCo – Milano Convention Centre
MiCo – Milano Convention Centre has excellent connections to the city centre and the airport via ground transportation. The main metro stops next to the venue are: Portello, Lotto and Amendola stations.

By air

Linate airport
Take bus no. 73 in the “National Arrivals Exit” area all the way to the terminal in Via Gonzaga / Piazza Diaz (Underground M1 Duomo – Red Line). Enter the Metro and get on the Red Line (Line 1 towards Rho Fiera Milano). Get off at the “Amendola” stop (700m from the Congress Centre), or at “Lotto” (approximately 800m from the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre).

Malpensa airport
The “Malpensa Express” train service will take you directly from the airport to the centre of Milan in 40 minutes, arriving at “Cadorna” station. From here, take the Red Line Metro (Line 1 towards Rho Fiera Milano). Get off at the “Amendola” stop, (700m from the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre), or at “Lotto” (approximately 800m).

Orio al Serio airport
The “Autostradale” or “Air Pullman” bus service will take you directly from the airport to Milan Central Station in 60 minutes. From here, take the Green Line Metro (Line 2 towards Abbiategrasso) and get off at “Cadorna” station.
From here, take the Red Line Metro (Line 1 towards Rho Fiera Milano). Get off at the “Amendola” stop, (700m from the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre), or at “Lotto” (approximately 800m).

By train

Central Station
Take the Green Line Metro (Line 2 towards Abbiategrasso) and get off at “Cadorna” station. Then get on Red Line Metro (Line 1 towards Rho Fiera Milano). Get off at the “Amendola” stop (700m from the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre), or at “Lotto” (approximately 800m).

Garibaldi Station
Take the Lilac Line Metro (Line 5 towards San Siro) and get off at “Portello” stop. Exit the metro station and you will be able to reach the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre on foot.

Cadorna Station
Take the Red Line Metro (Line 1 towards Rho Fiera Milano) and get off at the “Amendola” stop, (700m from the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre), or at “Lotto” (approximately 800m).

Domodossola Treno Nord Station
Take the Lilac Line Metro (Line 5 towards San Siro) and get off at “Portello” stop. Exit the subway just a few feet walk from the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre.

Metro
· Lilac Line (Line 5): Get off at the “Portello” stop (80m from the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre).
· Red Line (Line 1): Get off at the “Amendola” stop (700m from the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre), or at “Lotto” (approximately 800m).
· Green Line (Line 2): Get off at “Cadorna”, then change to Red line (Line 1 towards Rho Fiera Milano) and get off at the “Amendola” stop (700m from the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre), or at “Lotto” (approximately 800m).
· Yellow Line (Line 3): Get off at “Duomo”, then switch to Red line (Line 1 towards Rho Fiera Milano) and get off at the “Amendola” stop (700m from the MiCo – Milano Convention Centre), or at “Lotto” (approximately 800m).
