How can I apply for membership?
You must first create a ‘My ERA-EDTA’ profile at https://www.era-edta.org/en/my-era-edta/#login.
Once you login to ‘My ERA-EDTA’, click on ‘membership benefits’ , ‘become a Member’, fill in all required information, and submit your application.
How long does my membership last?
Active Members are those current Members who have settled their yearly membership fees.
Membership follows the calendar year, January – December, and must be renewed on a yearly basis (preferably by November).
How can I check whether or not I am an Active Member?
You should login to ‘My ERA-EDTA’ and check your membership profile. If you can view the section ‘My Membership Benefits’, you are an Active Member. If you cannot view this section, you may have to settle your membership fee.
How can I settle my membership fee?
Login to ‘My ERA-EDTA’, click on ‘my membership’, and then on ‘renew your ERA-EDTA membership’.
Can I renew my membership fee for more than 1 year?
Yes, please contact the ERA-EDTA Membership Office at membership@era-edta.org.
I wish to settle my past unpaid membership fees

I just paid my membership fee by credit card but I cannot register to the ERA-EDTA congress as a Member

Can I get a receipt of payment?
Yes, login to ‘My ERA-EDTA’ and check the section ‘my emails and documents’.
Can I get a certificate of membership?
Yes, login to ‘My ERA-EDTA’, click on ’my membership’, and then on ‘certificate of membership’.
I need to update my address in my profile
Login to ‘My ERA-EDTA’, click on ‘edit my profile’ in your membership profile, and then on ‘address’.
I need to update my email in my profile
Login to ‘My ERA-EDTA’ , click on ‘edit my profile’ in your membership profile, and then on ’profile’.
I cannot login to ‘My ERA-EDTA’
If you cannot login with your email and password, you will most probably have to reset your password or your email address is not the one you have used when creating your membership account. Should you still have problems even after resetting your password or if you are unable to update your email, please contact the Membership Office at membership@era-edta.org.

How can I read NDT online?
Login to ‘My ERA-EDTA’ , click on ‘my membership’, then on ‘my member benefits’ and ’access NDT’.
I have not received the hardcopy of NDT
Please allow at least 10 working days for delivery within Europe and USA, and 21 working days for the rest of the world.If you did not receive the journal after this period of time, please contact the Editorial Office at ndt@era-edta.org.
In the meantime, since your subscription also includes a full subscription to NDT online, if you wish to access full text articles of NDT, you can login to the journal via ‘My ERA-EDTA’.
I am a patient: are there any benefits for me?
Medical patients can apply for the patient membership status, free of charge.
I wish to join the Young Nephrologists’ Platform (YNP)
All junior Members and students up to 40 years of age are automatically included in YNP at no extra cost.

You can take advantage of the ‘reduced’ membership fee and receive all the benefits without the journal.
Does ERA-EDTA offer any special discounted membership fees for Members living and working in certain countries?

I am an ERA-EDTA Member and I am retiring: are there any benefits for me?
Yes, both Associate and Full Active and current Members who have been Member for more than 15 consecutive and uninterrupted years, who have reached the age of 60 and who have retired from practice, can become a Senior Member. The senior membership status is NOT given automatically but must be requested to the ERA-EDTA Membership Office at membership@era-edta.org.
Does ERA-EDTA offer discounts or special fees for medical trainees or fellows?
Yes, Members between 29 and 40 years of age can apply for junior membership at a very low fee.
I am a medical student: can I enjoy certain membership benefits?
Students who are up to 28 years of age can apply for the student membership, free of charge.
What is the geographical difference between Full and Associate membership?
Full Members live in Europe or in the countries bordering Europe and the Mediterranean Sea.
