Special Virtual Congress Fees for Students and Trainees

ERA-EDTA is strongly committed to improving the education and training of young nephrologists. For this reason, special Virtual Congress fees are available for students and trainees.

Students up to 28 years of age may take part in the 2020 ERA-EDTA Virtual Congress free of charge!

Students/trainees between 29 and 35 years of age may take advantage of a special reduced fee.

At the upcoming 57th ERA-EDTA Virtual Congress, the following ERA-EDTA Awardees will be announced during the Welcome Ceremony on June 6, 2020

ERA-EDTA Award for Outstanding Clinical Contributions to Nephrology: Kitty J. Jager (the Netherlands)

ERA-EDTA Award for Outstanding Basic Science Contributions to Nephrology: Paola Romagnani (Italy)

ERA-EDTA Award for Research Excellence: Alberto Ortiz Arduan (Spain)

ERA-EDTA Stanley Shaldon Award for Young Investigators: Martin de Borst (the Netherlands)

Alexion received CHMP Positive Opinion for ULTOMIRIS® (ravulizumab)

On May 1st, Alexion received CHMP Positive Opinion for ULTOMIRIS® (ravulizumab) in Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (aHUS), an ultra-rare disease that can cause progressive injury to vital organs, mainly kidneys, via damage to the endothelium. EC decision is anticipated in June 2020.
