![]() New help for people with IgA Nephropathy
IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) is a common cause of kidney disease in most parts of the world, especially in young adults. Some people who have IgAN will have gradually worsening kidney function, or even develop kidney failure. Others, have stable kidney function that does not get worse. Every person with IgAN – and every physician involved in helping them – wants to know the risk of the kidneys deteriorating.
For the first time there is now a reliable way to find out: The International IgA NEPHROPATHY Prediction Tool. This tool predicts at the time of kidney biopsy the risk of worsening kidney function over 5-7 years. f you are a nephrologist or other healthcare professional click here for more information. If you are a patient or carer click here for more information.
