The programme focused on basic concepts in modern epidemiological research, measures of location and variation, survival analysis and critical appraisal of scientific papers. Epidemiologic studies and the organization of National Renal Registries were the highlights of the second day of the course.

All those participating were highly interested in all the activities and especially in the discussions following all the lectures and practical classes.

The course was organized in the heart of the historical city of Gdansk. Both the lecturers and the participants had the opportunity to taste the flavour of this fascinating city and also to take part in social activities.
