Speakers from inside and outside Nephrology have been carefully selected to provide a bench-to-bedside approach to burning issues such as genetic diseases of the kidney, the metabolic syndrome, regression of chronic kidney disease, iron metabolism and erythropoietin, cardiovascular risk in the renal patient, immunosuppression in chronic allograft nephropahy, and identification of novel biomarkers in the renal patient. New therapeutic options for renal diseases (including stem cell therapy), ongoing observational programmes in clinical Nephrology, and prospects and challenges for dialysis in Europe will be presented as well. Slots will be reserved for last-minute groundbreaking findings and results from clinical trials.
We hope that this programme will favour fruitful exchanges between clinicians in all fields of Nephrology and basic scientists relates to our field, so as to trigger new exciting concepts leading to significant improvement in the care of our renal patients.
