The SECC has hosted many major international congresses and is widely regarded as the UK’s premier congress venue.
The Scientific Committee for ERA-EDTA Glasgow 2006 is being ably chaired by Professor Pierre Ronco. With the help of a strong international committee, he is putting together a very attractive programme of symposia and mini-lectures to complement the free communications, posters and industry-sponsored symposia.
We are confident that the scientific content of ERA-EDTA Glasgow 2006 will be of a very high quality.
Glasgow is a lively and friendly city with plenty to interest the visitor in terms of cultural activities, eating-out, night-life and shopping. It has many comfortable hotels including most major international chains. It is well connected with the rest of Scotland and the UK by road, rail and air.
Edinburgh is only an hour away by train or road and the Highlands and Islands of Scotland are within easy reach. Glasgow International Airport is only 20 minutes drive from the city centre and there are excellent air links with most major cities in Europe and further afield.
Further details of ERA-EDTA Glasgow 2006 can be obtained from the Congress website (www.eraedta2006.org). This also gives background information about Glasgow, details of accommodation and transport, and links to other useful websites.
We look forward to welcoming you to Glasgow next year.
