ERA-EDTA CME Courses
The
ERA-EDTA CME programme, which began in December
2003, has very well developed over 2004 and 2005. I really must thank all the
members of the ERA-EDTA CME Activities Committee for their support in developing
new ideas and in organizing some of these events.
The
CME courses have different levels and formats:
1)
Introductory
2)
Intermediate
3)
Advanced
According
to the geographical area and the educational needs of the attendants the format
can be:
1)
Monothematic course
2)
Multiple topic full course
A
total of 11 courses were organized in 2004 and
14 in 2005. If you visit the CME section of the ERA-EDTA website (http://www.era-edta.org/ , section: CME) you
will find the list, according to the year and
the programme of each of them.
Below is
the programme for 2006. It includes 20 events, of different educational levels according to the needs of the
attendants.
Apart
from the CME Course, our Society is proud to launch a new educational activity
in 2006 such as the Long-distance learning programme.
Besides,
starting 2006, the ERA-EDTA Council also has
decided to give two travel grants for each CME Course to nephrologists that are
35 years old or younger.
