Did you attend the Vienna Congress? We “ASQ” for your help for young nephrologists living in developing countries

ERA-EDTA has created an electronic congress feedback questionnaire  aimed at collecting impressions, suggestions and remarks related to this event. We warmly invite all registered delegates to complete this questionnaire that should take no more than 3 minutes of your time to answer. Not only delegates will be providing us with very useful information so that we can improve ERA-EDTA's future congresses, but it will also help young colleagues living in developing countries (GPD < USD 10,000) to attend the ERA-EDTA Congress in Madrid next year!

In fact for every 200 feedback questionnaires that are completed, ERA-EDTA will offer one congress grant!
This initiative, named Altruistic Support by Questionnaire (ASQ), is an initiative that two years ago became part of the exclusive ERA-EDTA advantages for young nephrologists living in disadvantaged areas of the world where education and scientific updates are needed.

If you have attended the 53rd ERA-EDTA Congress, please complete the congress feedback questionnaire and submit your comments and preferences.
Your opinion is important to us.

Updates from the CKD-MBD Working Group

Calcific uraemic arteriolopathy (CUA), or calciphylaxis, is a most challenging and poorly understood complication in severe kidney disease, with dismal prognosis urgently requiring adequate strategies for diagnosis and treatment in CKD dialysis patients. In an attempt to identify several current gaps in evidence on various and highly debated and controversial aspects of dialysis-associated calciphylaxis, the European Calciphylaxis Network (EuCalNet), a task force led by Vincent M. Brandenburg of the ERA-EDTA scientific working group on Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral and Bone Disorders (CKD-MBD), organized the 1st Consensus Conference on CUA in Leuven (click here to download the material) last September. The CKD-MBD Working Group is creating a new task force (chaired by Pieter Evenepoel) covering indication, realization and interpretation of bone biopsy in different European countries. Under the direction of Ziad A. Massy and Marc Vervloet, the CKD-MBD Working Group is organizing a Bone Disease in Chronic Kidney Disease CME which will be held in Amsterdam on September 23, 2016.
